Technology
Ørsted's Incheon Offshore Wind Projects are located approximately 70 km off the coast of Incheon and have secured Electricity Business Licenses(EBL) for a total installed capacity of 1.47 GW (Incheon Offshore Wind 1: 870 MW: Incheon Offshore Wind 2: 600 MW). The projects are currently progressing through the development phase, including the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), site investigations, preliminary wind farm design, and preparations for participation in Korea's offshore wind auction process.
Subject to the successful completion of the development process and Ørsted's Final Investment Decision (FID), the projects are expected to be commissioned in the early 2030s. Ørsted places strong emphasis on securing broad stakeholder support and continues to engage proactively with local communities, the fisheries sector, and other key stakeholders throughout the development process. Once completed, the projects are expected to generate enough renewable electricity to power approximately 1.4 million Korean household
