Business Information
COSOLUS is a climate-tech company and a chemical materials solutions provider that develops core materials and eco-friendly process technologies for recovering critical minerals from spent lithium-ion batteries(LIB).
COSOLUS develops the RECYION Series, a range of extractants designed to selectively separate and purify valuable metals(Mn, Co, Ni, Li) from cathode materials in spent LIB.
COSOLUS also develops the RECARBION Series, high-purity refined graphite produced by removing impurities from spent battery anode materials and regenerating the recovered graphite to a quality suitable for reuse as a raw material.
In addition, COSOLUS is establishing a next-generation eco-friendly recycling process based on “DRY REDUCTION” and “INDUCED HEATING” technologies, with the aim of reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions compared with conventional battery recycling processes.

Technology
The RECYION Series is a range of extractants designed to selectively separate and purify critical minerals(Mn, Co, Ni, Li) from cathode materials. When applied conventional hydrometallurgical processes, the extractants help shorten processing time and improving recovery efficiency. In addition, it can minimize the discharge of by-product such as sodium sulfate.
The RECARBION Series is a high-purify refined graphite product line derived from spent graphite. It consists of recycled high-purity graphite suitable for use as battery-grade anode material and upcycled high-purity graphite intended for high-value-added applications.
COSOLUS’s next-generation eco-friendly recycling process is based on “DRY REDUCTION” and “INDUCED HEATING” technologies. This resource-circulation solution separates black mass generated during the pretreatment of spent batteries into cathode-derived and anode-derived fractions, enabling the recovery critical metals from the cathode fraction and high-purity refined graphite from the anode fraction
