- Business Information Korea Western Power secured 12,000 MW of installed capacity in Taean, Pyeongtaek, Seoincheon, Gunsan, and Gimpo, accounting for about 9% of the nation's total power generation capacity, and high-efficiency coal, clean gas, small hydro, wind, solar, and IGCC power plants. We are responsible for supplying sustainable and safe energy to the people. It develops and operates various new and renewable businesses, promotes large-scale idle land and floating solar power based on KOWEPO VISION 2035, achieves 0.7GW onshore wind power and 6GW offshore wind power in 2036, promotes the 'Wind Power 3/6/7 Project', fuel cell We are diversifying our business through utilization of idle land, development of heat demand areas in large cities, and public-private joint development. To stabilize the volatility of the renewable energy power system, we are actively participating in the operation of the VPP power brokerage center and the small-scale power market with a capacity of 300MW. With the 2050 Carbon Neutral Management Promotion Plan, we are leading the realization of carbon neutrality through sustainable greenhouse gas emission reduction and the eco-friendly and low-carbon energy industry. Based on world-class power generation operation and development experience, we are also advancing into new and renewable energy business operations and development around the world, such as hydroelectric power generation in Laos and solar power in Oman.
