- Business Information Repla possesses technology that enhances the purity of recycled polypropylene (PP) using the world's first biological methods utilizing microorganisms. We innovate in the recycling industry, pioneering the era of REALCYCLE as a biotech company. We have chosen to conduct research on olefin-based materials, which have a high production volume of 63.1% but are difficult to biologically degrade. This research aims to increase the material recycling rate of plastics worldwide. As a result, we discovered microorganisms that can biodegrade olefin-based plastics such as PET and PE, leaving only PP material behind. With this microorganisms, we are developing an innovative solution called “Biotank“ to enhance the purity of recycled PP up to 99.65%. Furthermore, we have a line-up of products that can be immediately deployed in the field, including Puri-Checker, a device for measuring plastic purity, and plaSCAN, aplastic material identification device that won an Innovation Award at CES2024.
